Tesla is recalling all 3,878 Cybertrucks shipped to date due to a problem with the accelerator pedal that can get stuck, posing a crash risk. The issue was first reported by a customer on March 31, and Tesla has since determined that an unapproved change in the component assembly process introduced a lubricant that reduced the pedal's retention. Tesla will replace or rework the accelerator pedal on all existing Cybertrucks and has started building new trucks with a revised pedal design. This is not the first recall for the Cybertruck, but the previous one was minor and related to software.
