The European Space Agency's Euclid space mission has released its first full-color images of the cosmos, showcasing its ability to create razor-sharp astronomical images across a large patch of the sky. The mission aims to investigate how dark matter and dark energy have shaped the universe by observing the shapes, distances, and motions of billions of galaxies. Over the next six years, Euclid will survey one third of the sky with unprecedented accuracy and sensitivity. The released images demonstrate the telescope's special capacity to capture the entirety of celestial objects while remaining extremely sharp, even when zooming in on distant galaxies.
