Two Iowa police officers are suing a teenager for invasion of privacy and defamation after he posted body-cam footage of his allegedly false arrest on YouTube. The teenager, Tayvin Galanakis, had been pulled over for not dimming his high beams and was subjected to field sobriety tests, which he passed. The officers claim that Galanakis's captions and comments on the video were defamatory and caused them emotional distress. A federal judge has dismissed most of the officers' claims, but allowed some to proceed, including defamation and invasion of privacy related to Galanakis's claim that one of the officers had been convicted of domestic abuse.
