A Gallup survey found that regularly greeting multiple neighbors is linked to higher wellbeing in adults in the US, with the greatest benefits seen when greeting six neighbors. The survey also found that greeting neighbors is associated with all five elements of wellbeing, including social, community, career, physical, and financial wellbeing. The benefits of greeting neighbors appear to cap out at six neighbors, with no significant increase in wellbeing seen for greeting more than six. The survey's findings suggest that social interactions, such as greeting neighbors, can have a positive impact on overall wellbeing.
