The Einstein Foundation Berlin has awarded Paul Ginsparg, the founder of arXiv.org, and the Center for Open Science with the inaugural Einstein Foundation Award for Promoting Quality in Research. Ginsparg created arXiv.org, a preprint server that allows scientists to share their research openly and globally without review and paywall restrictions. The award recognizes researchers and institutions that have made significant contributions to promoting research integrity and transparency. The winners were selected by an international, interdisciplinary jury and will receive a total of €500,000.
