Netflix will reduce the video quality on its service in Europe for 30 days to reduce the strain on internet service providers due to increased demand from people self-isolating at home. The reduction in video quality will lower Netflix data consumption by 25%. Movies will still be available in high-definition or ultra-high definition 4K. The change is in response to a call from European officials to reduce internet usage during the coronavirus outbreak.
